No Appreciation for Residents and using location over quality to reel you in.

I lived there for 11 years. Yes, 11 years! For a long time, it was one of the best places you could live. Then this retired doctor in California decided he wanted to be dabble in property management so he bought the Palisades (and a few other places in AZ and CA). I hope he was a more sensitive, thorough caring doctor than he is a businessman. He and the people he has work for him are the rudest, most insensitive people.
Rather than continue to maintain the property to the impeccable standard it had been at, they let the name of "Paradise Valley" lure the folks in rather than quality. (BTE - the property is NOT in Paradise Valley. It is Phoenix.)
Grounds are maintained. The ouside appeal is exceptional. But the interiors and appliances are maintained only to a visual level. Maintenance makes you feel like you are putting them out with a request plus they don't rush for anything. And I already mentioned the office staff - I think they are trained to be nasty. Absolutely so respect for the residents. Customer is ALWAYS wrong with them.
I had a spotless record and I even stopped criminals on the property who were about to make off with former resident applications (SS#, birth date, credit info, etc.)which the stupid management stored in the Men's bathroom at the main pool. I was supposed to get a $10,000 reward for that. Needless to say, that program was "no longer in affect" when I asked about it.
Remember the saying that "beauty is only skin deep'" That is the Palisades.
