Waste of money, RUDE management, Jerry Springer residents

Where do I begin' What appeared to be a nice complex has quickly turned into a nightmare. I CANNOT WAIT for my lease to end so I can move.
After signing the lease, but of course only one week before I moved across the country, I received a phone call regarding an additional deposit they "forgot" to tell me about but that I was going to have to pay because I have a dog and they thought my apartment needed new carpet. With no other option for finding an apartment, I was stuck. I told management to leave the carpet until I could look at it myself but I was not willing to just pay another $500 over the phone without seeing what I was paying for. Reluctantly they agreed. I was glad they did because when I arrived, I found my carpet appeared to be brand new! I didn't need new carpet and they sure didn't need more of my money. My trust was instantly gone and rightfully so.
They brag about having 3 pools, one of which is heated. This is a lie. Yes, there are 3 pools and one is supposed to be heated, however the "heated" pool has been broken and closed for 4 months now! Also, since the pool opens up to the tennis courts, the tennis courts have been closed this whole time as well. No notice was given to tennants, and every time you ask when it might open you get a different answer. Apparently the management is completely uninformed and no one in the office talks to one another because I've had a manager tell me several times the pool would be open that weekend, only to call back and be told it would be another few weeks.
Additionally, there are supposed to be 2 hot tubs. One is in the broken pool area and rarely works. The second one is heated but the jets don't work.
None of the vending machines on the entire property work - not one.
The management is RUDE beyond belief and really doesn't care about the tennants. I've called to report issues and NEVER receive a call back. I call to follow up and the staff acts as if I have a lot of nerve calling!
The residents are ridiculous. I moved here from downtown Chicago and feel less safe here than I did in the city. I have neighbors that I've called the police on because of the screaming, and there is a child involved. The man was arrested on drug charges and noise disturbance, after yelling at his girlfriend, hitting her and hitting property. I reported this to management and have yet to hear what they plan to do about the situation, yet I was confronted by him this morning. Wonderful.
Finally, if you're not a fan of screaming kids DO NOT move here. I don't know where the parents are, but there are kids are everywhere, screaming, running around the apartments, constantly standing right outside my door.
