Before i had moved to the Palisades, I had came on this site and read these reviews and thought..it cant be that bad. Well, it is. When I got to the apartment to move in I quickly noticed that the apartment that was promised to me wasnt the one the were offering me. I mean did they think I wasnt going to notice that I was paying for a in unit washer and dryer and there wasnt one in the unit' When I finally got a unit that was the right one..I had to get the electricity turned on in that unit too in addition to the unit that wasnt the right one. I was charged a $30 activation fee for the wrong unit and was never reimbursed by The Palisades for it. It was their mistake, but they told me that they couldnt reimburse me for the activation fee of the wrong unit. Next when i sat down to review my lease I quickly saw that concessions that were being offered hadnt been subtracted for the amount that they were claiming I owed. Basically they were trying to rip me off and it wasnt till I called them out on it that they fixed the lease. The manager that works there is a short plump little lady whom Ill refer to as ------. She is very unprofessional and acts very immorally. it seems as though her staff is imtimated by her and out of fear of losing their job also act immorally. All I have to say is watch what you sign. And if you agree to anything with them such as a termination of lease agreement make sure they sign it too, bc they wont unless you request it so that they can try to go back on it later. BE CAREFUL. The apartments themselves are ok. The dishwasher and garbage disposal were broken. The shower rod was broken and there were shattered pieces all over the floor in the bathroom. Pigeons will crap all over your balcony. I lived on the second floor so i didnt have any scorpion problems but there seems to be a problem there. The parking is horrible. The cars are literally on top of each other. If you have a nice car it will get dented and scratched. There is a park on the mall side that seems to be a hang out for 'gang' looking teens. A few nights I heard what sounded like gun shots and thought...no that couldnt be gun shots. But my neighbor told me that about a month before I moved in there was a shooting at the apartments so maybe it was. The "media room" as they call it is crap. The a/c in there is broken and the computers are about 10 years old. Theres only two by the way so if you want to use one be prepared to wait. Overall these apts sucked. The management is incredibly rude and do not care about there tenants at all. They flat out lie. The units are average to below average. The grounds are well kept. This is were it seems most of the money is spent. Believe there are much nicer places in the area where you could rent. STAY AWAY FROM THE PALISADES.
