The good outweighs the bad.

I have lived here since Oct 07 and have had a generally positive experience. I am renting the larger single on the top floor, garden view and have no real complaints about the unit itself. The bathroom could have been designed better (sink too close to wall, mirror over toilet, shoulder hits towel rack using sink), but I don't spend the majority of my time there. May be worth noting that my electric bill has never been as high as it is here, even when I rented a 3br house. The A/C units are mismatched throughout property and many are quite diminutive and weathered, which is probably the one I have. Noise from neighbors hasn't been an issue other than the occasional slammed cabinet or loud patio conversations. The most noise comes from the somewhat frequent helicopter circlings due to certain properties nearby being low-income havens.
As have others, I have also had a less than pleasant streak with the staff as most appear to be rather put out when you disturb them. I now have all my packages delivered to work as there were several issues with getting attention and one issue with a small package that disappeared for a month then reappeared somehow. Other than this I have not dealt with the staff since I signed my paperwork as I have not had to make any complaints and have not required any maintenance.
The single biggest issue I have with this property is the tennant behavior in the parking lot. Several people seem to drive through at 30 mph and even if my vehicle is already half backed out, simply swerve around me. There is also a lack of yielding when driving in opposite directions as no one wants to go over the speed bumps with both wheels for some reason.
Overall, I reccommend this property as it is a really good place for the price. The location is excellent for me as it is very central to nearly every place I go. There are plenty of grocery stores to choose from, good freeway access, shopping, restaurants, nice parks nearby including a pedestrian path that I would ride my bike on from Cactus up to the 101. The staff issue is minor as there shouldn't be much need for interaction with them. I never used many of the ammenities, but the pool is clean, the tennis court is nice, and there is plenty of other stuff if desired.
