I love it the new changes and management!

***LIVED HERE MANY YEARS***READ EVERYTHING ON THIS POSTING, I BROKE DOWN MANY OF THE AREAS OF INTEREST!!!!!! I have lived here for many years and will continue to stay for many more. Those of you complaining about the community really are not seeing the " BIG PICTURE " the management company took over about a year ago and have made changes that everyone should be happy about....... The property used to be a white/pink color with wood patios. Since new management they have changed the color to more contemporary terra cotta brown and changed the wood patios to rod iron. New patio furniture was placed around pool, yeah! And the new laundry machines are a great addition. Not to mention, BALLY TOTAL FITNESS!
Fitness Center: We did not have a fitness center.
*** Starting October 2008 I was happy to see a letter posted on my door regarding FREE BALLY'S MEMBERSHIPS for everyone. It was so easy.
Gates: The gates break from time to time, but it is because residents or guests hit the gates not because they don't work properly. I do wish that a new gate operator was something management was looking to improve. So I asked Sheila the manager and she told me that was hopefully th next improvement coming.
*** They are always fixed in a timely manner.
Laundry Rooms: The old laundries had very old equipment and was coin operated. The change was smooth, one laundry was changed over and then a month later the other laundry was converted. Which I felt gave everyone a chance to get use to the new equipment.
*** The laundry was changed over to the coinless system and I couldn't be happier. We have brand new washer and dryers. And futhermore, we did not have to go and purchase a roll of quarters since we have the new card system. The office opened back up on Sundays, so they are now open 7 days a week to accomadate the needs of there residents. I do not understand people complaining about the new laundry system, when it is an absolute improvement to what we had before. COME ON FOLKS GET WITH THE PROGRAM!!!!
Parking: NO COMPLAINTS OR IMPROVEMENTS NECCESSARY, AMPLY PARKING BOTH COVERED OR NON COVERED SPACES.
Mail Boxes: I was reading comments regarding the mail boxes. There was one time the mail boxes were broken and yes, it was for a week or so. But I spoke to Linda our mail carrier and she said, it was the responsibility of the post office to repair the broken lock NOT the responsibility of the office. Even though everyone complained the office do not care about the broken boxes. Once again, habitual complainers who did not see the " BIG PICTURE " that are posting comments about where they live.
Maintenance: NO COMPLAINTS, The two guys are friendly. Anytime I needed something maintenance has also completed everything in a timely manner. My AC went out and before the day was out they had everything fixed, it was absolutely painless. Very happy with maintenance I think that really care about the complex and work to keep everything working.
Business Center: We never had one before.
*** Since new management they have made a business center in the office. I have never used it, but it is nice to know we have one!
Lanscaping: Some complaints.... for a brief amount of time we had many plants dying around the community. I brought it to the attention of Sheila the manager. It took more time that I thought it should take to remedy the situation.
*** Things to date are looking much better, I think we are using a new landscaping company because everything is looking much cleaner than usual. Overall, pretty happy with the landscaping. Wish we had more flowers or grassy areas.
Office Staff: No major complaints. There were at times at the beginning of this year that the office was closed often because Sheila was the only employee in the office. It made it hard to contact her because she was either busy with people looking for an apartment or talking to residents who live here.
*** I am glad to see they have another full time employee in the office who is always very helpful and available. And Sheila as always is extremely helpful, professional, and thoughtful. She looks after the best interest of everyone and I hope so stays around for a long time.
Overall, I recommend this community to anyone looking to live at a great location, this place is close to everything you can think of. And I wish people would cut some slack to the management company, I think they are really trying to turn this place around.
From a scale of 1 to 10, I give them 8.
