It looked nice....

I have lived in apartments of about seven years now, and I understand that things aren't going to be perfect when you live in an apartment; however, there comes a point when it gets bad. My dishwasher was not using hot water to clean the dishes. I called maintenance and they did come out that day. I was told that the water line was connected to the cold water line and not the hot. That was why the water was never hot. Okay, I had an answer, but it took over a month for someone to actually FIX the problem. At night, I was continueously woken up by my neighbor's "romantic interludes." After repetted complaints to the staff I finally reguested to move to a new apartment. I could move, but at a added charge of $500.00! For the record, if you want to transfer apartments at the end of your lease, you still have to pay the $500.00. It's a nice place to live, if you like getting "friendly" notes form the manager about someone getting raped, or killing themselves.
