I am a 21 year old mother of 2 young boys and I live in Oklahoma. I wanted to move here bc of everything this place has to offer. I am unsure now bc of the reviews that I have seen. Is this a good place to move or not' I want somewhere safe. That I'm not scared to get my boys from the car to my apt. and vice versa. I understand that there are always, no matter where you live, going to be drugs and crime. The way that everyone is making it sound is that this is all that goes on. I want just want some truthful replys if I can ask that. Thanks ya'll for your time.

I have never lived (or worked) at this community, however I can tell you a few things that may be of some help. I have lived in this area with my family (of 3) and we loved it, in fact we are thinking of moving back. Also, I work in the apartment industry, and often times these types of websites are only visited by people who have had one or two negative experiences, and that's all they talk (or complain) about. More often than not, the communities are much better to live at than are represented on this or similar websites. (especially if you are a person who communicates your needs with the management). And lastly--the apartment industry is one of change. The staff can change, the management company can change, etc--so some issues that may have been happening 6 months ago (or possibly even more recent than that) could be totally remedied with changes to staff or management (or sometimes new staff isn't aware of prior issues on the property, so again, it is great when residents communicate with the staff--particularly the office staff/management). ---one last note--to find valid statistics on drugs, crime, etc--contact the local police dept. they have public records of occurances that may have happened on the property/in the neighborhood--remeber to compare these reports/statistics to other communities in the area, and keep in mind that the size of the communities may effect the statistics (i.e., a small community may have only one or two reports vs a very large community which may have many more - look at the ratio of occurrances vs size of propery). Ok--sorry this was so long, but I just wanted to give you some information that you can use. I hope you find this information helpful and also that you find a great home for your family! Good luck!

Sincerely,
Someone with experience

This place reminds me of a resort. Sure they're a little bit pricey but there are a LOT of ammenities within it. This is one of the places I would reccommend. Also for the lady whom wrote this, there are stores galor just next store from the apartments and a fire station as well should that help sway your interest.

I wanted to post a thought when reading the first post. My brother and myself share expenses and I fell in love with the waterfalls and the property. It is just beautiful. There are a lot of nice things, weight room, pool (4 one is heated), and of course the billards clubhouse. There is so much within a couple blocks on both sides the main street to do with strip malls (large ones). Grocery stores (2) within walking distance. I drove through at night (after dark) and didn't find it to be an unsafe feeling. As for drugs and such...I've lived in many different areas of Phoenix generally since 1990. I moved here 3 times from Kansas. Even in the nice areas you have to be cautious about drugs and such, just because...remember the dealer is making good money so they can afford the nice places. Heck, even in Wichita, KS, they had a meth-lab in the makings at the HYATT Hotel which was $200 a night.

It only takes one bad person to enter a good area and make it bad too.

Check the police crime statistics at www.phoenix.gov there should be a link there. Also....

Watch your payments at all places you'd rent in Phoenix.....Make the management work for you!

Thanks and good luck with the move!
