let me start by saying i've never lived in a more beautiful surrounding.. it IS a bit of paradise complete with green grass, waterfalls, pools clubhouses, a movie theater, weight room, etc.. at night you can fall asleep listening to waterfalls in the middle of the desert..

AND THEN you are woken up by maintence leaf blowing at 6 am or mowing or anything else they feel the need to do that early

they have taken up to 4 weeks at a time to respond to a simple maintence issue (the towel rack keeps falling off the wall due to a repeated awful job on caulking)

they have a resident services center with it's own phone number to call for information, i have YET to have a person pick up.

i was threatened to be kicked OUT OF MY APARTMENT unless i paid them a 350 dollar security deposit for my gf to move in with me for 3 MONTHS while home from school.. they even made her fill out a CREDIT APPLICATION.. and of course, charged a fee for THAT.. this is all forgetting the fact that i had paid for this apt singlehandedly for 2 years previous.. what does her moving in have anything to do w/ a credit application... also
please stay away from the leasing office rep w/ the same first name as lewinsky.. she has wrecked more lives trying to get her promtion than i care to think about.

i sign a year lease everytime and each year my rent seems to go up.. when i first moved in, it was 615.. it's now 790 .. and what for'

Do you have anything else more ridiculous to complain about? I have lived at the property for 6mo overlooking the courtyard where there is alot of grass and I have not once been woken up by a leaf blower at 6am. The staff doesn't even start work at 6am??!! Also if you have someone else living at your apt she has to go through the same background check everyone else living at the property has to go through. That keeps felons and child molestors away and have you heard of fair housing laws?? Also anywhere you live your rent will go up..they are a business and have to keep up with the changing market, and if it stayed the same then you wouldn't hear leaf blowers in the morning because the grounds would not be taken care of, which meens jerks like you would have a lot more to complain about, right?

I've been woken up by the lawn mowers before too, not at 6am but by 7am they are out there. I wake up at 6 to bring my dogs out before work and that's about when the lawn care people are pulling up to start their day. It is a big property it's probably only one part of the apartments that is getting woken up that early, unfortunetly our side. I've never had a problem with maitenence taking forever to fix something but it did take them over a month to fix my friends washer, which is ridiculous. And you just shouldn't have told them that your girlfriend was moving in since it was only 3 months, that would have saved you pleanty of money!

Who the ---- cares about ------- leaf blowers? If you don't like the place move the ---- out. And for christs sake if you wanted to move your g/f in all you had to do was make sure no one knew about it. Obviously you slipped up somewhere. If all you're going to complain about is being woken up by a leaf blower then I shudder to think what would happen if it was a child playing.

I've lived in lots of apartment complexes in a few different states. EVERY SINGLE ONE has had landscaping crews come out weekly, early in the morning. THey do it early because they have a lot of stuff to do. They do it early because it gets hot later in the day. You'll deal with this anywhere you go, I guarantee, unless you own your own home. I would certainly not exclude a place in my search because someone was disturbed by a pretty common situation..
