It's all about the money

I've lived there for many years. We've recently had 3 owners. The worst was Archstone-Smith who had no intention of managing the place, only to buy it and flip it. It took almost 4 months to have a huge water-damaged area fixed. Management was rude and cold. I'd never live in any property owned by Archstone-Smith.
New owners now who are definately putting the money into the place with new landscaping and new residents get new counter tops and new appliances (Hey what about people who've lived there a long time)
But they've just decided to re-do the plumbing in all the apts. and expect you to live thru days and days of maintenance in your apt., no water, no privacy and huge mess while they upgrade. It's been hellish. I wouldn't move in now if I knew this.
And maintenance...forget it.. God forbid you just needs something simple done..weeks and weeks of waiting. And you hear the same B.S. "line" when you complain they must be taught what to say. "Maintenance is fixing a lot of air conditioning units right now" or "They just do emergencies first" .
When Oakwood owned the place...things were fixed within 2 days.
Oh yeah...the rent is much higher than it ever used to be.
