Not what it could be

The good side: My apartment is at the front of the complex where they take better care of the premises Prices for the area are resonable for the square footage. You actually see security on the grounds at night (and since we live in big city this a good thing). The complex has a store and offers DVDs for tenets to borrow. No charge unless you don't return it and then God help you. Several of the maint. staff are really good at getting things done once they get started.

The bad side: This is our second management company here and transition sucks, no matter what. I hope we are in a construction holding pattern because it has been pretty continous for the past couple of years. Occasionally I get the feeling that the office does not listen. It took 3 phone calls to get the repair completed because the person in the office wrote down the WRONG item to be fixed! Twice! Other repairs were completed correctly the first time but if it isn't an emergency it can be 1 1/2 weeks to get to it.

My biggest complaint - The staff park their carts in the disabled spot or in the yellow lines next to it. This means I have to park further away so I can park in a spot wide enough to open my van lift. When I called the manager she said she would address the issue. However it happened again several times so I went back to the office. The manager wasn't in of course. After explaining the problem to an office worker (and taking her out to see how even the ramp is blocked) I was given the standard answer of "only going to be there for a minute". What a joke! Those carts would be there for an hour or more even when there was adquate regular parking. Lazy employees and bad management!
