Too many good deals are ruining the property

Loved the apartment at first but couldn't wait to get out by the time our year lease ended. Several issues: Parking, Residents, Garages, Carpeting.
Parking: You must have a permit or else you will get booted. To remove the boot you must pay $90. This means if you have a guest over at 6:00, they better get out by 10:00 or they're booted. Believe me, the parking ---- is there even before 10.
Residents: Getting trashier by the minute. Perhaps this is because the Pavilions kept offering such great incentives that anybody could move in. The first neighbors were great but when they moved out, the ones that replaced them were awful! We are talking domestic abuse. We called the police on them three times. All management could say was that the "boyfriend" was not allowed to be on the property. Well guess what' All he had to do was jump the wall and he was at it again. Kids running loose with no guardians and no respect for the residents. And then there were the trash rummagers. Or at least I am convinced that is what they did for a living. They were so secretive, something had to have been going on. They had double garages that were filled with junk and a broken down car and everytime someone was coming out of the garage, they would quickly close it so we wouldn't see in. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that was a lease violation.
Garages: So narrow, my roommate scraped her car numerous times. I'm not commending her driving, she wasn't that careful, but seriously, the garages were awful.
Carpeting: My last gripe. Awful from day one. Old stains that just kept coming up. Please don't buy into the fact that it is berber. That doesn't mean it is good. It was awful. And yes, the walls scratched very easily. I must also say that maintenance was creepy and at times I felt very awkward around them.

One simple solution to your parking complaint: follow the rules. If you don't have a permit, then get a permit. It is not this apartment's fault if you break the rules. Now, if you think the rule is frustrating, and you'd like to complain about the rule, that's fine. However, readers of this review should be informed that if you do have guests that will be staying late, you simply have to call the 'parking ----' and let them know the license number of your guest(s) for that evening. Then, there is not a reason to worry. To me, this improves the Safety rating for this complex, and keeps the spaces in the complex reserved for the tenants and their guests. Regarding your neighbors, their problems have nothing to do with the complex. Please refer to my comments in "Excellent" by "-Anonymous-". Neighbors will be neighbors will be neighbors, no matter where you live. You have to deal with them, especially in such a close environment as an apartment complex. Don't confuse your frustration with your neighbors with the complex itself. I also feel the need to disagree with your garage comment. One reason I preferred this complex was because the garage was wider than other complexes I looked at. Perhaps it is still to small for you, it may depend on the size of your vehicle. However, there are a lot of smaller garages in other complexes. |
