We've lived here for 3 months and are already moving out. Management can be a pain to deal with and are often slow to respond to issues (unless it's eviction or payment of rent).
We recently decided to get a dog (which the property no longer accepts--only cats). Seems like this issue could be legally challenged since they have allowed dogs as pets before and still have tennants on property with them. As a result of them not allowing dogs, we are moving. Actually it worked out well. Now we're renting a house (one extra room, garage, fenced yard) for the same price as our rent here!!!
I have had a need to call maintenance several times on small issues. You have to call a toll-free number to place a service request. This can often be aggrivating since they don't know the property. Maintenance has been adequate, but not to the level I'd expect if it were my place or I had been doing the work.
I had complained SEVERAL times about the lights around our mail station. They always seem to be off at night. I'm not sure why they can't figure it out. It really makes the enterence to our buildings dark and unsafe.
Overall, it's clean and not a bad place to live. It's close to a lot of shops along Camelback and sits (literally) right next to the 51 freeway. I haven't heard a lot of noise--just the occasional heavy steps from the neighbors upstairs, but this is very infrequent. I really don't feel like management cares whether you're here or not. They seem nice when talking to them, but I just don't get a warm, accepting vibe from them.
