Would recommend From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 8/15/2007 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007   PTC is located in close proximity to grocery shopping, hospitals, gas, restaurants, and the Biltmore shopping area. It is convenient major freeways, allowing you to jump on the 51 and be at the airport in less than 10 minutes. The main entrance was a bit challenging at times due to the traffic at the corner, so entering from the left turn lane could be tricky. There were several accidents at the intersection during my year at PTC. The townhouse I leased for one year was spacious, had very ample closets, a large kitchen with lots of counter space and storage, and a roomy garage. Electric costs in the summer were a bit more costly than I had anticipated ($197 for July's bill) and the house was not kept overly cool. The townhouse does allow quite a bit of noise to travel for stair traffic and when your neighbor uses the drawers in the master bath vanity it sounds like they are in your apartment. The side street noise was very loud in the morning from the second bedroom, but the interior courtyard bedroom was like a soundproof vault (except for the pigeons). Parking was always plentiful during the day, but was limited in the evenings if you were not using your garage. The computer access in the business center was a must, because the internet was very unreliable within my townhouse. Numerous phone calls to the internet provider did not clear up the problem, although they were frequently working to improve service. The pool and hot tub were clean and never crowded. The fitness room had a great view of the pool area and a nice selection of equipment. The theater was not operational when I moved in and to my knowledge never repaired. The grounds were kept quite neat, the leasing staff was friendly, and maintenance was quick to respond to minor repair calls. The occupants of the neighboring townhouses never made an effort at getting to know one another, but acquaintances could be made at the pool or fitness center. I felt safe in this neighborhood and enjoyed living here. Moving out was hassle-free and I received a fair rebate check from my security deposit. If I am ever back in Phoenix, I will definitely look to PTC for my housing needs.
