Unless you are okay with paying $2,000 or more to break your lease when your finished school, do NOT rent here. We tried to get out of our lease and they wouldn't let us. They even told us they were running a business, and while they sympathize, they wouldn't help us out.
We have had other problems with this apartment complex too, aside from the general lack of communication, our apartment flooded twice, and they did nothing for days. We were unable to use hot water for an entire weekend, and apparently their maintenance department didn't tell them of our situation, and because they didn't have anything on file, they didn't do ANYTHING!!
Their apartments are small, and you have little privacy. Their security is lacking, they have a passworded gate, but one can just hop over the small barrier, and even piggy back inside behind another car.
I would highly suggest looking elsewhere!!
PS- Their staff is a pain in the ASS! Do you receive a lot of packages' In the matter of two weeks we had 3 things come up missing. One of which was a package of computer parts at the price of $300 . They didn't do anything, they said that they sign for our packages as a courtesy to us. Its in our agreement, but they sign for the packages in bulk and don't check if they received them all.

I agree that this apartment complex has its issues but it seems like you're posting this out of spite because they won't let you out of your lease. Any apartment complex generally require a month's rent fee for breaking your lease. On top of that, they require a month's notice prior to ending the lease so now you have to pay another month's rent to live there and the month fee to break the lease. I'd be willing to bet that this is in the lease somewhere that you signed. If this is coming as a shock to you then you didn't read the lease that you signed in which case, you're an idiot for signing something you didn't read. If you failed to understand what a lease was and how it matched up with your educational time line then you probably should go back to school for a couple more semesters and brush up on your math skills. Since you'll have an additional $2000 for not breaking your lease you can afford it.
Gates have never been 100% secure. They're only deterents to help prevent crimes of opportunity.
Businesses are not your friend. They're not your drinking buddy, classmate, sibling, etc... They offer a service for a fee. It's up to you to evaluate whether or not the service is worth the fee. It's all business, though, so you should never expect sympathy. Otherwise you're just a car salesman's wet dream.
Alternatively you might ask them about the total loss clause (or something like that). You abandon the apartment by a certain date and the complex will try to rent it out; however, if it doesn't get filled you are still responsible for the rent (or something along those lines). Ask the office about the details or if that is even an option. Not something I'd do because what insentive do they have to fill the apartment? They'd continue to get rent from you and rent out their other empty apartments first. Unless it's in a good location in which perhaps the renter would desire that location above all others.
It's iffy at best, I'd find someone to fill the apartment for the remainder of the lease to be sure.
Anyways, good luck to you.

Your right. I did read my lease, as everyone should. However, we changed management about 1 1/2 years ago and they changed quite a lot as far as their rules. The pet rules being one of them. This is an apartment ratings website, and I put my rating and my reasoning behind it. If you don't like my rating, thats fine and dandy. If your happy at this complex, then I am glad for you- write a rating to show your support for Pinnacle. I however, did not have a good experience there. I wouldn't recommend it, and I gave my reasons why.
