I was 22 years old black male and worked for university of Phoenix -Online...Maybe these people were not used to seeing someone of my stature able to afford the most expensive one bedroom all on my own... My heat didn't work. My toilet broke, got me a new one but had to been the cheapest they could find compared to the original luxurious bowl...I could swear that someone was peeking in thru my blinds and windows at night...I wanted out of the lease for never getting my heat fixed (moved in during winter) and my neccesity keys like mailbox, fitness, and swimming pool keys. All around if your not white, expect to be treated that way....I was stuck with breaking the lease fee of $1200.00 and rent of $796.00. They pretty much played me and took my money...I advise if you can please avoid these -----suckers...Please

Read the other responses. Everyone gets treated this way, regardless of race. Plus, two of the prominent office staff are black... I just moved out and have to say that I have had similar issues with respect to maintenance. They have a beautiful property, but BRE is extremely incompetent when it comes to getting things fixed within a reasonable time frame. The racially based accusations are really off base and inflammatory though. It's stuff like this that makes the rest of society collectively roll their eyes whenever we hear comments like this and become callous, leading to actual grievances being overlooked.

I apologize if im misunderstood. From the moment I showed them my latest check stubs during the application process there was trouble to come. I was told literally that I made more money than the majority, let's not forget 22years old Black Male, by the way Those black staff members you are talking one of them (the guy) played football at the same university I played for UofA-Fayetteville.. He was also dating one of the managers (go figure). So, if your not black,male, born in Arkansas you shouldn't take your time out to try and make some type of justification out of my response. I failed to mention im an enrollment counselor, so reading people is part of my job which I am very good at.. So I stand with my comments sir. Thank You!
