Presidio at South Mountain

The worst place in Awatukee by far From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 4/9/2006 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006   I am a current resident and have major problems finding places to park when I come home from work late. A lot of times people park in others reserved parking spots. I have friends that are having major problems with water getting into the walls so mold can grow causing major health issues. The front office didn't cooperate and told my friends to contact their renter's insurance because it wasnt their problem. Renters insurance only covers the renters belongings not the property. Any damage to the property should be taken care of by management. Once management decided to take care of the problem they didn't want to find a place for my friends to stay while the issues was being dealt with. The repairs made to the unit are done with the lowest quality workmanship that I have ever seen. They didn't replace the carpet that had water damage to it. The renter of the unit demanded that they open the wall to see if there was any mold; the maintenance argued with the resident saying it was a waste of time and that there was nothing between the Gypsum board. Once they cut a section out it was covered in black mold; there was also other left over construction material found between the walls along with an air condition filter that looked to be supporting an electrical junction box. My friends also found mushroom growing out of the carpet in the 2nd bedroom where it had been damaged by water. The management said that it wasn't caused by water damage. Maintenance accused them of drawing on the wall to make it look like mold on the wall. I work for an architectural company and I know a few of the building codes. Anyway this complex is a major code violation. You can ask the front office about any of this and they will tell you that they have no knowledge of this. Also there are Section 8 people living here and they will tell you some people got in on very good deals. I have seen drug deals happen right in front of my unit in the middle of the day. DO NOT LIVE HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE SAFE AND AWAY FROM DRUGS. My unit has a few holes in the flooring. What everyone elses has posted about the appliances is very true. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!
