Scorpions From: skyward12 Date posted: 5/31/2006 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006   I moved here from the midwest last March (2005) and although the apartment wasn't the most updated place I have ever seen, it was reasonably priced so we decided to sign a one-year lease. The apliances are old but I have to say our dryer is the best dryer I have ever used so that is about the only bonus to this place. Other people have complained about parking but I have never had a problem and my husband can always find a spot on the street right out side of our unit. My biggest complaint is scorpions. We have killed MANY scorprions in the short 15 months we have lived here. We will go a couple months without seeing one but then we will see 2 or 3 in one month. YUCK! I have called management and they will send some to spray but it really hasn't eliminated the problem. I have talked to people who have lived in PHX their whole lives and they have said they have never seen a scorpion or that they have only seen one or two so there is no way I should have to live with them in my home. We also had a condensation leak driping from our A/C return in the hallway. I called the apartment management and left a message on a Tuesday so they could come fix it. I never received a phone call from anyone but the next Monday a maintenance guy just shows up to fix the problem -- which was kind of annoying. The least the management could have done was call me back and let me know when someone would be coming out.
