Moving here was the biggest mistake ever! I was very excited to get my first apartment; I chose Presidio because it was cheap and close to work and home. I have lived here for 4 months now and will be breaking my lease (with huge, huge fines) 6 months early in August because I can't stand to live here anymore.
1. The NOISE. I understand most apartment complexes have noise problems, but this is ridiculous. It is currently 1:16AM and my computer is VIBRATING because of the loud music blaring downstairs. I have called security half a dozen times, and have actually waited outside my door for almost an hour once, but they NEVER show up.
2. The SECURITY. I called security one night when I heard a man climbing around outside my bedroom window. Turns out it was just the jerks below me breaking into their own apartment (I guess they drunkenly locked themselves out). Anyway, security never showed, as per usual, so I'm really glad there wasn't actually someone trying to break in!!!
3. The GROUNDS. Dump, dump, dump. Dog poop everywhere. Burnt out lights ALWAYS. Garbage everywhere. People constantly throwing out TV's, couches, washing machines, etc, and clogging up the dumpsters.
4. The APARTMENT. Where do I start' The horrible mildew scent. Outrageous electric bills from the air conditioner running constantly from the thin walls. Pee-stained carpet is disgusting. Broken dishwasher. The bathroom has a horrible, horrible mold smell that will not go away. The fan that runs constantly when you have the light on is also an irritant. Clogged drains. Cloudy water. Everything is just gross.
All I can say is that I am SO HAPPY to be moving out in August. I am already packing!!!

If you think someone is breaking into your apt or anyone else's apt, you call the POLICE, not security! LMAO!!!!!!!
There should be a clause in your lease that pertains to LOUD noises or disturbances. The next time you are in this situation, document the days and times you were disturbed. Also include who you spoke with and what they promised to do. Most of all, stay on management to DO THEIR JOB and protect your right to peaceful enjoyment of your apt. :-)
