The Presidio "use" to be a very nice place to live. My building unfortunately, located in the front and center of the complex was infested with scorpions, and when we moved we found 2 spots with some kind of black moldy growths coming out of the walls behind furniture. Many neighbors in other buildings never had scorpions, I did meet others who were forced to move to a different unit due to the black moldy growths, and you do have to sign a "black mold" statement. Each year the complex cut back on their staff so things started heading downhill real fast, pools not kept up, the use to be helpful but sometimes hostile office stay must have their hands tied by the new owners at what they can and cannot do with the place. Living downstairs, we were botherd alot by the paper thin ceilings, lucky for us tenants moved in and out all the time. Besides that the building I lived in was very peaceful and quiet all the time. The apartment units themselves are very nice, I loved my two bedroom apartment. Great kitchens with lots of cabinets. Dining room has a nice built in shelving unit, some units have shutter doors to their shelving. I had a coat closet by the front door and in the hallway, and shelving all around the washer and dryer area in the long hallway. Im torn on how to finish my review, half the people living there absolutely love it. The other half hate it, like most complexes I guess it is luck of the draw, who you live above or under, and next to, and what your expectations are. Until the scorpions drove me out, I had planned to the Presidio to be my permanent home. I miss living there very much. I can now sleep at night peacefully though, knowing Im not in the middle of some natural scorpion path. I had four varieties inhabiting my unit all summer long.

I lived in the building next to the hynotherapist office. I still miss my apartment very much. The story of them filming an apartment seeing scorpions coming in the front door, Im not sure if I belive it. I persoanlly saw, and captured in those flat glue traps probably 35 scorpions a summer for 3 years coming out from under my stove. We pulled the stove out and found a huge hole in the wall that plumbing repairs had been made and not resealed, they sealed it up, it stopped one variety of scorpions from coming in, we gained a new one later the next year, those had been really long and beige brown, we had small ones and BIG fat ones, then, the small bright orange ones came. Scary stuff, both bathrooms had them but not as much as the kitchen. I miss my apartment, and never would of moved IF I didnt have scorpions. The mold is reportable to the city somewhere, its very dangerous.
