I do not believe that the problems with Milestone's management of the complex is confined to the person in charge. Since Deanne arrived none of the negative policies instituted by Milestone or their rather short term predecessor have changed, but the office staff certainly has (all of the helpful and friendly office staff are now gone). Tenant concerns are not being taken seriously, to the point of rudeness. Maintenance requests are still practically hopeless, and priority is still clearly being placed on trying to make things that prospective tenants will see look nice, not on trying to meet current tenant's needs. It is very shortsighted not to attempt to retain good current tenants and focus simply on trying to fill the vacancies. I’m certain that the numbers game is what is driving that, as with many corporations that are not concerned about the long term results of their actions, just the short term bottom line. There are a lot of things I like about the complex (if it were properly maintained and managed), but the current management is continuing the previous situation and driving out most of the quality tenants. I could not, in good conscience, recommend that anyone take a chance by moving in at this time. Who knows, maybe another company will buy the place soon and we will once more hear the refrain "just give us more time" while conditions and company policies continue to deteriorate as they have with Milestone. I would only change my mind once I actually see some positive change (and getting candy taped to my door does not qualify). Nor does replacing roof tiles that were installed just a few years ago. I agree that we can continue to hope for a positive change, but I see only negative signs so far, including the money spent on the Presidio sign in front of the leasing office.
