Happy with complex

I have read a lot of reviews of people unhappy, but my experience has been very different. For every maintenance request I enter, it is resolved within a day. I had an issue tonight (Sunday) and maintenance came within 10 minutes of my call. The lighting issues must have been resolved before I moved in, as I have no concerns. I have never had my car broken into or any safety concerns. I chose to rent here because it was the least expensive complex in the area and had a floor plan that I liked. This is not a "luxury" complex, nor are the rents at "luxury" level. For the money, this is by far the best complex - for those who are expecting a luxury experience, they can pay twice as much rent and get that level of living.
This complex also offers quite a few community activities, something I've never seen at any other complex I lived at. I believe that the staff really do care and do the best they can for the tenants. I sit on my patio in the evenings and see tenants throw their trash on the ground or in the bushes, yet the next day all of it is picked up. This is a very clean complex considering the attitude of the tenants. I moved here from Texas, where you can be fined for not picking up after your dog. I have never seen one resident pick up after their dog, too bad Phoenix doesn't have the same policy!

I had my car broken into and $19,000.00 of damage was done to it from what the thieves stripped off the car, but supposedly there's security who patrols? uhm ok. My front door broke on 07/21 and its 07/25; its still broken, no response. I tried to use the fitness center and the swimming pool and all the locks are broken, falling off, and my key doesn't work.
When I went into management to ask them about it and see if I can get a new or if they changed some of the locks I was told I had the right key and there was nothing wrong. The lady behind the desk was very short and not very pleasant to talk to. When I asked, what can I do then because I'd like to use the facilities I was told very rudely to get a new a key. I asked if I could get a new one then the lady said, "No." and I just kind of stared not really knowing what to say then she finally replied, "Come back tomorrow." and I left.

Yes , this kind of things use to happen in this complex since i moved in , and still happened at the time that we moved out from there (may o8) a lot of cars were vandalized at wakial loop, poop , all over the landscape rocks , even if we called to say that , the office , never did something or gave a fine to the people that had dogs.... the only good thing that we had there besides the good space in the apartment was that if any of the neighbors in the same building were making noise , the courtesy patrol came really quick.. (thats my opinion because when i needed to call we had response).... but there are more bad things , than good things to keep saying about this complex.... i dont recomend it now and never....

The community activities ended about the time the city closed the main pool in August due to sanitary issues and an illegal fence (still not fixed as of late October). The person who said that the "lady behind the desk was very short and not pleasant to talk to" was probably talking to Shauna, the manager - one of the most rude and unpleasant people I've ever met in my life. As inept as they are, some of the staff really do care about their tennants, but management does not. The good people moved over to the spin-off Villas at South Mountain last spring, leaving Presidio to return to the ghetto it was a few years ago. I truly regret ever setting foot in Presidio and will be leaving as soon as my lease is up next January.

I take it Shauna is not an improvement from Roxanne, the previous manager.
