Not awful but not good

I moved in to Presidio in August 2007 and will be leaving soon (March 2009). I really liked the place when I moved in, other than a couple of big issues.
1. On the first night in my papartment, my boyfriend (who doesn't have a parking spot, since they only assign ONE per unit) had his car broken into and his Ipod and some other things stolen.
2. Parking is a NIGHTMARE! There is never close parking, the spots are TINY, and if you do make the mistake of parking in someone's spot you'll get towed- to the tune of $200
But I was happy, and the stff was helpful. But then a new company took over sometime in the spring of 2008 and everything declined. The new staff is rude and often useless, maintenance issues weren't being resolved (I often had maintenance out multiple times for the same issues), prices went up, and the quality of neighbors went down. Also, the fitness center, which was already basic, seems to offer nothing but broken machinery.
Again, this isn't a miserable place, but I'm not too sad about leaving. The location is great- super convenient. I have a nice apt. with a fireplace, vaulted ceilings, in unit washer dryer and overlook the park.

Not a new company - a new manager, who in the span of about a week turned the place back into the ghetto that it used to be. The good managers moved over to the Villas at South Mountain, which had been split off from the rest of Presidio last March.
The current incarnation of Presidio is designed to be a slum complex. I heard they were even getting involved in the Section 8 housing program - something that they never did before.
Get out of there as soon as possible. I am.

Just an FYI people... Section 8 doesn't mean it's the "ghetto". Narrow minded people are worse than any ghetto!! Get some education people, please!! Presidio is a very nice community, however, the customer service has been more of an issue recently. Maybe getting the government involved will kick some butts into gear??
