I lived at Presidio for a year and on a good note I will say that the apartment I lived in was nice due to complete renovations(which I over paid for). That's about it on that note. To start, I will definitely say that the office staff is lacking any social, management or relations skills that are minimally mandatory for property management. They do have the highest turnover i have ever seen, which is usually a direct reflection of the property manager. Also, I did notice that the resident approval guidelines seemed to be nonexistent. Makes you wonder if background checks were even completed''' Back to the staff, which by the way is the main reason I left...they were rude, UN knowledgeable and outright incompetent. I was there for 8 months and never once paid late & one time was out of town and dropped a check off on the second and was told that I had to pay a $50 late fee (rudely). I have allot of friends in the property management business and was told by all of them that that is just "BAD BUSINESS". The proper way to handle that would have been to advise the resident of the community due dates in a professional way and offer to waive the fee on a one time courtesy. Who gives fees after the first anyways''' Most places give you at least until the third. What do they do, sit around & think of ways to milk their residents' I ll tell you what... I left with such a poor taste in my mouth that I may just have to make sure that the future residents don t have to endure the pitiful excuse for management. May need to send over a secret shopper ;) watch out Milestone. No, but seriously...Just listen to the voice of your residents. I m sure you don t want to fail. It's a competitive market. Time to sink or swim. :)

I used to live there too and I moved across the street to an equity apartment and oh my god! the difference is night and day, I feel like I live on a completely different side of town! The place is just run down, dirty, the staff and the maintenance are awful... You pay too much for too little.

Unless they've changed managers in the last year, the "Equity apartment across the street" was almost as bad as Presidio. I know - I lived there once and left there because we were promised that Presidio had turned itself around. Nope! It got worse when Shauna (the manager) arrived a year ago. It immediately went ghetto in _every_ sense of the word. Millstone Management needs to change the name of the complex. Maryvale East would be appropriate, given the total slum that it (and, frankly, the other complexes between Warner and Ray on 48th St) have become.

Why has this part of town turned into the ghetto???? When I moved to AZ I was told Ahwatukee was a safe and NICE place to live. On the contrary in the last few months I've seen what appeared to be a drug deal right outside my apartment building, broken down cars just sitting there collecting dust, and kids running around wreaking havoc all over the complex. I'm from Chicago and I'd almost feel safer in Cabreenie Green then at the Presidio.

As I was moving out last month, I ran into a woman who has lived in the complex for two years (I only lived there one year before realizing my mistake) and she said that her neighbors had been arrested for dealing drugs out of their apartment. If that's not a warning, I don't know what is.

It's called Guadalupe, right next door. It's all thanks to little Mexico.
