I moved to Promontory Pointe II almost 3 months ago & it has been nothing but headaches & aggravation. I have to deal with crickets, pinchers (aka earwigs), roaches, assorted insects & scorpions.
Between August 14th and this morning, I have now encountered 8 scorpions. The one that was found this morning, got away before I could kill it. So it's somewhere in the master bathroom alive & kicking.
I had the unfortunate experience of being bitten by an unidentified insect. As a result, when I woke up last Saturday, my ankle was swollen to almost the size of an egg. I went to the doctor & was told that the bite had gotten infected & that is why the area was warm to touch.
Whenever calling to inquire about apartments, one of my questions now is how is your scorpion problem' If they dance around the answer (as they did at Mirador), I take that as a sign there is something wrong.
If you're considering renting at Promontory Pointe 2, I recommend thinking twice as the office staff does not disclose the issue. After finding the 6th scorpion, it was finally told to me that I live next to a natural desert landscape.
