Don't rent here

I currently live here and I would not recommend it. I can't wait to move out. The apt is a good size - I'm in Phase II. The view is great, the neighborhood is nice and I don't hear my next door neighbors much - that is the only good thing I have to say. BUT the place is dirty. I have a dog and I believe I am the only one who picks up my dog's poop. It's trashy - there is no evidence that the crew ever cleans up trash: cigarette butts, dog poop, trash, broken glass, empty wine bottle sat on the sidewalk all day, empty drink cups, a broken bench they finally took out, broken lights. I had giant roaches in my kitchen and bathroom and crickets in my bathroom. I'm very clean so I don't know what that was about but I bought those fogger things and they are gone. The carpet is cheap and didn't stay clean very long, bad patch jobs of the walls, a broken mini blind in one bedroom, the bi-fold doors on the washer/dryer are crooked, the A/C is loud and my fat neighbor downstairs who has a covered parking space about 50 feet from her apt insists on parking in the space next to the apt (the space you would park to bring up groceries or to put the Uhall to move in). Many people here are just plain rude - no class. My upstairs neighbor must be a nurse who works nights because when she comes home at midnight, she and her boyfriend stomp around at all hours waking me up. My parking spot has been switched with someone who parks almost on 7th St. and the apt. manager could care less. So I have to walk a mile to drag my groceries up. People throw their mail trash all over by the mailbox area. If you go to the office to pick up a delivered box, sometimes you have to wait 15-20 minutes. The ladies are nice but you always have to wait. The gates are not working 1/2 the time. When I moved in my hot water heater broke immediately and I was without hot water for 4 days - it was not seen as a priority. They charge a separate bill for water/sewer and even if it isn't delivered to you, they expect you to pay it with your rent - no matter that you don't know the amount.
For what you pay and the deposits etc., it is such a rip off. I lived at the Boulevard in a tiny apt with no view but that place was super clean, the service was great and I got my full deposit back. I won't renew here no matter how big the apt is. The pool is never clean - people use it but I can't imagine going in it. And they are very loud when out there. I don't expect everything to be perfect but for the money I expect it to be clean and not to have to have my parking spot on the other side of the lot from where I live.
