Management is Shady...

Lori tried to extort "court fees and costs" to allow me to try and recover a few personal items that belonged to me but were left there by a relative who unexpectedly skipped town!
Let me explain:
First off I don't and wouldn't consider living there now. I am however familiar with the place. I don't like being a Mark either.
I explained the situation and offered her proof of relationship to the tenet. She appeared sympathetic and initially agreed that this was acceptable and told me to call her after the court process was over and she would let me try and recover what I could. She stated that she didnt want to have to move and or store anything anyway. Cool. I call her when she asked and she tells me that the property is the owners now and if I want anything, i have to pay the court costs and fees! I told her that this would not happen and thanked her for her time. Subsequent call for contact info for the owners was haughtily dismissed.
There was nothing of real monetary value of mine left there (luckily), but after reading some of the comments here I had to post. I agree with the posters who state drug use suspicions by the management. I thought the same during our meet and others here just confirm what i suspect.
I'm quite sure if i had given this person money, it would not have gone to court costs.
Shame on you for trying to take advantage!
