I have lived here for 1 year. My apartment is very clean and resonably modern looking except for the appliances. Appliances work fine just old, (i believe they are upgrading them soon). There have been the usual small problem with my apartment to major things like a leaky ceiling. The office staff is very kind and will do what they can to help you. The maintenance staff is very sharp and fast although they seem to have their hands full so give them permission to enter and followup with the office if the job is not fixed to your satisfaction.
The rent is about right givin the age and the area this apartment is located in. I've never had any problems with crime, although i feel phoenix is a generally unsafe city to begin with.
My neighbors are all very kind and normal people. I've never heard them below me but i can sometimes here people beside of me "loud singing etc" Rancho is part of a crime free housing program, and they have recycling now too.
MINOR GRIPES: parking can be far for guests, i often walk them to their cars if its late. Musty smell from old air conditioning units. Windows are thin so you can hear the outside well, such as the pool or the maintenance staff mowing the grass.

It has to be the staff! Any resident would of complained about the funkified pool water. Its like swimming in an enima!
