Nice Apts, OK place, Bad Management

Even though they are not perfect, this is probably one of the better places to live, ESPECIALLY if you must live in this area of town (i.e., this is not a good neighborhood, there have been gunfights at all the local stores and this area - Metrocenter is the highest for car theif in all of Arizona).
The apartments are nice and roomy. Never had any insect issues here. And they are reasonably quiet as long as you do not have any obnoxious neighbors. You will not hear normal noise inside your apt with the windows & doors closed.
The security contractors working the property at night were excellent and highly responsive to complaints. However, security is not tight here. 'Gated' community does not mean secure as the back wall is low enough to jump over and management forgets to close the main gates almost every weekend.
Maintenance tends to take forever to respond to requests, but this is probably the fault of the management who takes the requests. Management here is not good, and the management company overseeing the property has changed 3 times in 2-years. As for the management staff, the first words that come to mind when I think of the Manager Lynn are spiteful & uncaring. She will sit across the desk and roll her eyes at you while you talk, and she just finds new ways to make excuses rather than making an effort to fix the problem.
The Asst Manager Chris is good but she has to do what Lynn says. I lost track of the number of times I was told they would find something out and get back to me and I never heard from them again. And, if you work, they close at 6pm (though they leave early most days) and the weekend staff know nothing other than how to show an apartment.
Overall though, for this area, they are one of the better places for the money.
