Don't do it!

This place is terrible. The management is incompetent, ignorant and rude. In the 10 months I have lived here, they failed to send me a bill for rent 6 times. They gave plenty of excuses but have not once attempted to fix the problem. Furthermore, they do not provide a rent receipt. What you get is a photocopy of your check. The buildings appear to be in good condition, however upon closer inspection, the walls are cracked and the plaster joints fall apart. Not to mention, the walls are paper thin, so you hear everything your neighbor does. The appliances are low grade, specifically the dishwasher that doesn't actually wash dishes. The pools are rarely cleaned. Within a month of moving here, I was harrased by a stranger that would knock on my front door at all hours of the night. After confirming with a neighbor who experienced the same thing, I told management who claimed there was nothing they could do. They advised I call security. When I did call, I came to find out that security is not regularly on patrol and has not once responded in a timely manor. I asked management to put out a notice to residents in the building to beware of the knocker. Nothing was done. A week later, my car was broken into. In fact, two other cars were broken into the same night. On several occasions, I have had to call the police for assistance. Management was well aware of the problems, but chose to do nothing. On top of all this, the other residents are constantly moving in and out. There seems to be no standard for the type of tenants that are permitted to move in. The people are loud and inconsiderate. Parties happen often and empty beer bottles are usually found all around the building the next day. This place is definitely not worth the hassle. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. Don't do it!

I have a pool view apartment and I see the maintenance out in the pool area every morning. They also have a woman who cleans the chairs, tables, and grills. I also see some of the neighbors who like to mistreat the area leaving everyone else to clean up after them. In my opinion many adults do not have respect for other peoples property and disrespect what is available to us. Management has explained the billing and assured us that they would do everything possible to fix this issue. I received my bill yesterday, and if I don't receive it I don't have a problem getting it from the office. The office staff helps us everytime with this issue and every other issue. The courtesy patrol has been the same person and he stops and makes sure that we really live here. Which makes me feel good because he is trying his hardest to keep unwanted guest off the property.

Are you sure you have the right apartments? Maybe your upset that your not invited to all the "parties"? Maybe a retirement village would suit you better....

You have to be kidding me; but I guess when you complain anonymously you can say anything without having to worry about it being factual. I have lived here for two years 2006-2008. The office staff has been amazing they always due whatever thay can to answer my questions and I can always pay my rent at the office seven days a week if I didn't get a bill that month. My apartment looks great inside and out nothing is falling apart and my appliances work great. The pool is always clean and other than being refurbished the only time I have seen it closed was for regular maintenance or if some jacka$$ decided that they wanted to bust some glass in the pool area. Everytime I call the Courtesy Patrol they actually show up and address my issue. Before I got to know the Courtesy Patrol I could not walk my dogs at night without being asked if I live here and what apartment I live in. The only loud inconsiderate neighbor I have had in two years was evicted within a month after my first complaint and I am sure it was not just from all of his neighbors complaining about the noise. As for any trash being found after a party; every morning I see the porter and the maintenance techs picking up paper and other litter form around the apartments and from all of the parking areas. As for anyone reading these reviews please take the time to visit the friendly staff and look at the complex so you can make your own decision of Red Hawk being your next home.
