Been here 3 years. On the positive side, the apartments are nice, appliances work and I like the features of the apartment. The rent has been reasonable given the other options in the area. And parking is great if you use the garage. One thing that I have noticed changing is the type of people who live here. Used to be a nice age/color/profession mix, artists, etc. now it feels kind of like yuppie hell. Gentrification sucks but is rampant now. Have noticed several things that concern me, some recent, some not so recent. First, there are doors that are supposed to be fob access only that you can just open anytime because the doors do not open/close properly. I have reported this MULTIPLE times (over the last 2 years)to management and have never seen the doors fixed. Sometimes they work, most of the time they don't. I can't imagine I am the only one who has complained about this. Do they not care about security' Second, the hallways are nasty. There is a spot on the floor where food (canned fruit') was dropped. It sat for a week or two and then never really was cleaned up, it's still there. This was months ago. The same mess has been on the wall of the trash room for the same amount of time. People's dogs pee and poop (yes, poop) in the halls and management takes there time in cleaning that up too. It's absurd that the individuals don't clean up their own messes, but if they don't management should, especially if you call. There are other aesthetic issues like signs that are hanging crooked in the garage (just looks bad), sidewalks that haven't been power washed recently and smell like dog pee and windows that haven't been washed in at least 2 years that are filthy. On management, the same as any other apartment staff---sweet and concerned when you complain but very little follow through. Just trying to provide some feedback to prospective tenants and to management.
