I was so glad to say goodbye to this place. The 'urban' apartments are a joke to anyone with decent taste, they think by simply ripping out the doorways and flooring and adding black appliances they can charge more and call it a modern paradise. My opinion of the complex was actually pretty high, including my relations with the office, until everything just seemed to bust. The security is simply a facade, many of the doors would just open with a good kick, the latches on others would never catch so they could close, and the gates, well, were just a joke. All the gates and doors are supposed to be only operable with the proper fobs supplied by the well-educated folks operating the office. When I would ask whay measures were being taken to fix the defects I was always given some default-tenant-reply like, "We've put the order in, but we're just waiting for them to fix it." Another false sense of security after another that the staff would feed me. After my departure, I received the 'move out statement' filled with erroneous charges, duplicate charges, and absolutely no explanation on any of the charges. They're billing me for nearly $50 of cleaning costs (stove, tub, toilet, etc.), all of which was cleaned by yours truly and double-checked just prior to leaving. My list of complaints, including sexual harassment from some ape that used to work in the office, could continue for pages, but I'd rather save my energy for a depo. Oh, and a note to the girls who were hired to work in the leasing office: you need to stop getting your makeup done at the department store counter..you're supposed to at least fake a credible persona!

I am disputing some ridiculous move-out charges as well, and I'm very close to just biting the bullet and filing a lawsuit. I'm an attorney and doing so wouldn't be that hard. I second all your complaints and have the same if not more. I am frustrated and appalled at this company's management style. I filed a complaint with the BBB, but Roosevelt has been reciting the same line in the lease refusing to address my legal and factual arguments. I am FURIOUS, and at first, I was just going to roll over and pay the money. After looking at this website and reading all the Complaints, I've decided to keep fighting it. If you want to discuss your issues and even add yourself as Plaintiff if I pursue this, let me know. Right now I am a staff attorney for a federal Judge but I have numerous friends that are practicing attorneys who would be more than willing to file the Complaint free of charge. Like I said, I am LIVID. Please email me at tracyosteen@yahoo.com

Please email us at sue-alliance@yahoo.com. Many, many people have your same complaints, and not just in Arizona. Three is a class action about to be filed in California.
