Think Long and Hard About Living Here

First the good, the location is perfect and if you work downtown or in the Central Corridor you could not find a better location. Unfortunately management knows it and that is probably what makes management so unwilling to maintain the property. The premises are not kept up, the trash rooms are dirty, the floors are dirty and the parking garage is filthy. Security is a problem. It seems that anyone is free to come and go as evidence by the daily handbills that are left in my door. On two occaisions that I witnessed first hand the Police have been pounding on a neighbors door. I'm not sure of the cause or reason, but it is unsettling. My lease will expire soon and I will not be renewing.

For other apartments in the same area, look at the Copper Square website. Roosevelt Square is not the only game in town! This review doesn't even touch on the worst problems at RS. The management office personnel are dishonest, rarely courteous, and incompetent. I have lived there almost two years now and watched the place steadily decline. Now, all the residents are tee'd off because we are paying luxury prices to live in a "luxury" apartment home that looks like a slum! Management never does anything they're supposed to. I've heard from several residents lately that they are being told their rent is being raised RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THEIR LEASES! Also, several people have told me that they accidentally bounced a rent check, because of an error or due to an identity theft situation. Then, the office lets you wait and wait, never telling you your check bounced, until you get an eviction notice on your door. That's when they tell you it's your bank's obligation to tell you when you bounce a check and that you owe them a gazillion dollars in late fees. Also, they used to accept rent checks as late as the 4th, but now they are cracking down and making you pay by the first (which I always have anyway), but where do they get off when they can't even give us what we're paying for? They told us we were renting luxury apartment homes and we are living like Fred and Lamont Sanford! Just this week, I heard there was a home invasion in building C. So, if you like cleaning your shoes every night because of all the dog crap around there, if you like being lied to and cheated by your landlord, living in filth with no security, definitely come on over!
