I was the first tenant to move into the unit that I rented in November 2009, but they were horrible apartments from the start. The walls are very paper thin, I used to be able to hear the little girl upstairs coughing in the night and it's not like she was coughing loud - she was only 1 or 2 years old! I could also hear people having conversations when I was in my bedroom, and you could tell it wasn't yelling or anything it was just normal conversation. It was ridiculous, my neighbors heard me and my husband talking too, and they'd complain but we were not even shouting or anything, we were JUST TALKING! Also, the neighbor below used to complain all the time about us being loud and stomping around on the floor but that was crap, we were just walking normally, I never let my boys run in the apartment at all! At first, I tried walking a little more softly until I thought - wait a minute, I'm paying rent to LIVE here! I'm not going to freaking tip-toe through my apartment and whisper! Then the stupid apartment manager at the time, Kristen or whatever, tried to call me one day and threaten to throw me out because of the complaints from downstairs - I freaking let her have it! I told her off really bad about just how terrible the apartments were, and how dare she have the balls to try to call and threaten me. She completely backed down after she realized I wasn't going to take her crap and she tried to tell me that maybe it just wasn't working out with me on the 2nd floor, that maybe they could just relocate me to another floor. I told her no, if the neighbor downstairs has a problem you need to move him, because moving me is not going to change the fact that they are just poorly constructed, crap apartments. After that she left me alone but it was still a nightmare for the rest of the time I lived there. One thing I have to say though, is that I am glad these apartments sucked as bad as they did because it forced me to bust my butt to finally buy a house instead of waiting and waiting for the right time! I thank God now every morning that I wake up in my house instead of those crappy apartments!

Wow I read this and it sounds almost just like the experience I had here, and to read the Kristen comments creeped me out for a minute, because she threatened me 2. When I first got there she was extremely friendly..next thing you know there was a complaint from a neighbor about me and my boyfriend fighting and yelling loudly, but we worked late so we got home and were just talking and I guess it sounded loud. So she asks me if my boyfriend abuses me which he doesn't and was on a tirade to get rid of him for some reason..she admitted to putting a fake noise complaint to scare him out of my place..it got really weird and then she started threatening me..I talked to mary and not long after that Kristen was gone...they need to do background checks..that woman was insane!!

I recently moved out of this overpriced and under-­managed, under-­maintenanced complex. Sage management are fat, lazy, incredulous, miserable people who will file complaints against ANYTHING you do in YOUR apartment. There is no freedom here for normal well-­adjusted people. You WILL answer to the disgustingly lazy Amy and you WILL be charged for things that aren't your fault... or they'll just illegally keep your deposit. Please take your time to look up the laws concerning your rights as a tenant. Please write letters to the Attorney General of AZ if you value your rights as a tenant because Sage will walk all over you.
