Hi, my name is Lea and I am the Community Director of Sierra Foothills. It concerns me of the many negative reviews my property has received. As I looked them over I noticed most of the negativity came from residents who were only here for 2 or less years. Many of the positive reviews came from residents here 5 years or longer. My staff is very professional and thorough. Sierra Foothills has a lot to offer. For my former residents who had a negative experience here I would like to say I apologize about your experience and it must have been a rough time for you. Any prospect who is interested in renting here can obtain a sample copy of the lease agreement before they rent with us. It is the renter's responsibility to be informed on the terms of the lease agreemnet. Too often things are assumed and that is where people run into conflicts. Our current occupancy is 95% and we have wonderful residents who live with us. To all of you I would like to say from myself and my staff. THANK YOU for choosing Sierra Foothills. A Place to Call Home.

What is your response to the claim that tenants rents have been increased during their lease rather than at the renewal period? I don't think that's legal.

It isn't legal, and if the landlord has done that it can easily be taken to a local city court and won by the tenant within 1 hour. So, I doubt it was true.

Wow. That does not sound right. Once you are in a signed lease agreement your rent cannot be increased. If you decide to add a pet, garage or storage unit then your rent will increase for that chosen amenity. If the sales tax went up for the city that may cause a tax increase but the resident must be notified in writing 30 days before the change. I am unsure what the circumstances are on this particular resident was but if they feel they were charged unauthorized additional charges then maybe seeking legal advice would be beneficial.
