I would suggest to keep looking in the area for better deals and living conditions and believe me when I say it will not be hard to find better. I've lived in the area (Ahwatukee) for almost 7 years and decided to venture out seeking a slightly better deal (a price break) and to downsize for the time being. First indication of a "shady" deal should have been crystal clear to me but I am a complete optimist... I was given the ol' switch-a-roo when I moved into a unit that was not the unit that was specified on lease. I caused no "fuss"-signed away and moved on.
The apartment has...
1-Prehistoric appliances (dingy-yellow appliances and yellow-beige tinted countertops (stained from previous renters. If you like white walls with yellow detailings such as outlet coverings, light fixture coverings etc this is your place.

2-Prehistoric size COCKROACHES that seem to infest the inside and outside in incredible numbers!...from all sinks and drains... I was told by managment to place containers (bowls) over the drains to prevent them from coming up and to stuff towels under the sink to stop them from coming from around the pipes. This is AZ and yes, pest are a problem but not to this extent.

3-Some electrical outlets work some of the time and the rest do not work at all. The outlets are loose and wont hold a current.

4- Bad plumming. The toilets over flow at least twice a month- which is an improvement from twice a week when I moved in. Not to mention the sinks are in harmony with the toilets!
5- Noise is a huge issue as well... but it is an apt complex so it is expected.

6- Heating/AC must run 24/7... it's like living in cardboard box!

7- Completely ignorant and incompetent workers/staff/managment- I can only say much help is needed in their communication skills and training is greatly needed.No one person will take the initiative to help tenant concerns - and the buck is passed not to mention it was very difficult to conduct business with the office because all its staff lacked the necessary comprehension and communication skill to logically answer concerns. I know I must sound like a complete "hater" but I just know no one should waste their valuable time not to mention pay for something that isn't up to the general areas standards/expectations. Please look elsewhere... No UDR communities especially this one Lumiere Condos/Sierra Palms & Sierra Foothills! Good luck Apt. Hunting!

i havent had any problems either...maybe he just used too much toilet paper..ive had no cockroaches at all, just lil beatles that slip thru the underneath the doorway..who cares. wtf . appliances are not ghetto, made w/in the last 10 yrs isnt ghetto or prehistoric..trust me my old apt complex appliances were 20 f'ing years old ok..made 4 yrs after i was born..thats prehistoric ok. soo yah..sounds like he just wants to complain about ticky tack lil things.

Obviously you must work at the complex otherwise why my experiences be untrue to you and also why is the use of profanity necessary in responding to my expriences?? And accusations of my usage of toilet paper- I highly doubt "Mr. Skittles" my cat (HE) is the problem nor myself. And Lack of finding the appropriate verbage and your age is no excuse to use such language. Also, my unit has not been remodeled- hence the 'ol' switch-a roo' terminology. Lastly ... Why respond so aggressively to my expriences when you can simply voice your own wonderful expreinces... without bashing others?
