Silktree is currently for sale by the current owners as of on or about March 15, 2007. The complex has about 84 units the grounds are well kept and the maintenance man is excellent. Management responds fairly quickly to problems that arise in the units for repair purposes. This is an investment for the current owners and keeping good and adequate maintenance is maintaining their investment which is currently for sale. That said, although the management declares doing background checks on all residents, this is totally bogus and a total fabrication. Most of the tenants do not speak English and many are undocumented Mexican illegal immigrants.
While the management or owners did rent space for parking from the VFW to the east the residents do not use the available parking and totally disregard the City fire code and continue to park at the red curbs and block the fire hydrant. Most lack respect in a plethora of way, the park as to block in other residents. Play loud music throughout the day and most significantly at night when the owners leave to return to their Chandler home. All night long and as well in the daytime car alarms are constantly sounding and are terribly disrupting to the peace and enjoyment of tenants, I do speak for myself. In the early morning hours starting around 4:30 AM individuals come to ostensibly pick others up for work and instead of parking and knocking on a door, they honk repeatedly until the person they are picking up comes to their vehicle. These illegal undocumented aliens have no respect for the rights of others as to peaceful enjoyment of the premesis. I feel that Immigration Control Enforcement should be contacted through Sheriff Joe Arpiao who has an outstanding liaison with ICE and silkwood should be checked as they do have the more than the forty required for an ICE intervention. As well, the Fire Marshall should make nightly visits and ticket the obstructing vehicles as it would be a disaster if there were a fire or in some cases a medical emergency. I would strongly suggest that nobody should be rent the utilities may be included in the rent, pool, crying kids, fights, all make Silktree a very undesirable place to live- Especially getting locked into a boilerplate 10 page lease that even declares that if you are taken seriously ill you can not get out of it. Stay away from Silkwood, there are much better options-believe me!
