I've been living at The Springs for a year now. I love the roomy floorplan of my apartment and the general design of the complex. I almost didn't move in because I could tell at first glance that maintenance was lacking - HUGE potholes in the parking lot, blemishes on the building exteriors, etc. Soon I learned that the gate of this "gated community" was never, ever closed and the hot tub only worked about half of the time.

After a few planned inspections, I started to think something was up. And then, suddenly, they were doing lots of renovations. Yes, that's right, the Springs is "going condo". Now we are living with the inconvenience of the construction and things are starting to look nicer outside. I think it will look great. But they have not given us any information about the timing of the conversion or the pricing of the units - only say that there will be a special offer for current residents.

Also of concern to me is that they will be doing interior renovations as well but I like my unit just the way it is. I don't actually want crown moldings which is the only new feature I've been told about so far. So I don't know whether to stick it out and wait to see how great it's going to be, or get out now so I don't have to live through all the construction noise and mess.

This place could have been soooooo nice.
