Dorm Living with Race Track for parking lot From: metoometoo Date posted: 5/19/2007 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007   The apartments are nice however EXTREMELY small. If you don't mind dorm living with a bunch of students from MMI and other schools in the area then this is the place for you! Most of the students that live here are RUDE, drive like maniacs in the parking lot and basically have no respect for anyone. There is loud music in the parking lot & apartments, the MMI students ride their dirt bikes in the parking lot at all times of the day & night and I've been rear-ended in the parking lot (damage to my car). We live on the Bacara side which is MUCH nicer than the Montelena side which is ghetto. But even at that, the grounds are ugly with dying or dead plants. Don't mean to be so negative but it's all true, all the bad things that are said about these apartments are true and I believe the apartment's decline is caused by the students. When we moved in here, you had to make 3 x's your rent; not anymore apparantly. The apliances are good as well as the better quality stainless steel kitchen sink. Decent apartments, not decent residents (for the most part). If you're not a student then you really should go somewhere else, you'll be much better off.
