I was a resident of The Cove from 2000 to 2002. We left our apartment on good standing, no damage, no money owing. We were cut a check for our deposit several weeks later. I thought all was good until...

2004 we are applying for a home loan and an UNPAID judgment appears on our credit from The Cove. Thankfully, the manager at the time was awesome. A quick phone call resulted in a letter that I picked up and was able to show to our lender. I was told they would take care of the inaccurate report with the credit reporting agencies.

2007 we are denied for an apartment due to an UNPAID judgment from The Cove. I was irritated because we didn't get the apartment we wanted. We move on to another apartment and THANKFULLY were provided a rental verification showing that we do not have a judgment or owe them any money.

Here is where our nightmare begins...

November 2009 we are applying for a house that is absolutely PERFECT for our family. Our hearts are broken when we find out we are DENIED because of an UNPAID judgment from The Cove. Unfortunately, they gave the house to someone else.

I contact The Cove and speak to a girl. I explain the situation. She is very nice and assures me that she will locate my file and give me a call back. She tells me that it will be the next day and I am okay with that.

The next day at 3pm I decide to call. That girl had the day off!!!!!! I ask to speak with a manager and was told she is "busy". I tell them that I will hold. I am on hold for over an hour. Finally I tell the girl to just make sure she calls me back before the end of the day, PLEASE. I am assured that she will call me back or the manager will call me back.

I decide to call back a half an hour later. I am told the manager had left for the day and there is nothing that can be done until MONDAY. I am pleading and begging for someone to please help me. All I need is a letter to submit with my application for this house and I desperately need it by tomorrow. The girls are unwilling to help me. One girl tells me that she will try to contact the manager and will give me a call before the end of the business day. 5:00 p.m. comes around and guess what, no phone call.

I have now contacted news channel 3 and channel 12, and e-mail several lawyers to see who would be willing to help me. I am at my wits end and their refusal to help me is appalling. In the years past I have been able to get help within the same day. This current staff is obviously lazy and uncaring because they tell you they will do something and they don't do anything. Then again, if their manager is setting the example of blowing people off and not returning phone calls, how much can we really expect from her staff.

I strongly urge people to avoid this property at all costs. In 2002 I would have highly recommended them because the manager and staff at that time was AWESOME. Today, they are unprofessional, rude, they lie, and are unhelpful.
