A few things to consider if you want to live here...

-Be very aware that EQUITY has a 60 day notice to move requirement. It's very difficult to find a place to move to when MOST other apartments only require a 30-day notice.
-Be very aware of the apartment you move into. The stairwell that goes up to some of the second floor units are L shaped and the way the area by the front door is built, makes it very difficult to manuever large furniture.
-It's best to be first floor, middle unit, and don't get a unit that faces East otherwise your electric bill will be through the roof. Poor insulation.
-Be aware that your rent WILL GO UP when you renew your lease!
-There has been theft in this complex.

-Having three pools is nice.
-The gym isn't the greatest but it is nice to have.
-Supposedly there will be a theatre room available towards the end of this year.
-Very close to Deer Valley shopping center (Target, AMC, Costco, and hospital)
-Cannot hear freeway traffic.
-Close to Walmart either at Happy Valley Rd (north) or 19th ave/Bell. (southeast)
-Closest grocery store is at least three miles away.

-If you live close enough to Rose Garden you will hear a few motorcycles racing along the road; sometimes late at night.
-We've had a couple of scorpions in our apartment (I know we live in the desert)

Beware of the cost to terminate the lease it outrages. I decided to move out since the crime rate in the Retreat has increase. Somebody attempted twice to break in my apartment. As usually, security nowhere to be found until hours later.
