Overall not a bad place to live

First of all I would like to say that prior to living at The Retreat I lived at Monte Viejo another Equity Residential Apartment Community. Even though this place was newer, looked cooler, and had all the bells and whistles, I like The Retreat alot more. I have never heard any of my neighbors, ever. At my previous apartment I could hear the people next to me, across from me, below me... everywhere. But here the only noise comes from the road (since my balcony faces it). There have been no real bug issues (2 roaches, that is it. My other place had major ant issues). Maintenance does an amazing job fixing any problems that arise. (My washers transmission blew and they had a new one in within 3 days. I have had several other small issues always addressed that day. We are a young family and find ourselves surrounded by many of the same from all different ethnic backgrounds. The only cons I have are... dun dun dun... some people do not pick up their dog poo... but what can the apartment do about it... its usually not there long... My electric bill is a little higher in comparison to my last apartment which was virtually brand new, come summer that was a bummer and my husbands tire did get slashed while in the parking lot. Other than that I have no complaints.
