I've lived here for about 6 months and am perfectly happy. My apartment is nice, I've never had noise problems, everything works properly, the grounds are well kept, and I haven't had any issues with the staff. The location is great, I love being right across from Desert Ridge and so close to the 101.

It seems like a lot of the complaints here are about noise, and being able to hear footsteps or noise from other apartments. I don't understand why this surprises people so much, I mean come on, IT'S AN APARTMENT! That's what happens when you have strangers living above, below, and on the other sides of your walls. I've lived in lots of apt complexes, and I don't think that the noise at Shade is any louder than any other apartment I've ever lived in, if anything, it is quieter.

As far as others complaining about the lack of insulation and high electric bills, I don't know what they are talking about. This summer when it was 120 degrees outside the highest my electric bill ever got was $125, I don't think that is excessive for cooling an 820 sq ft apartment in Phoenix. And as far as the person who complained about a $200 bill in December' My November bill was $65, and I can't imagine it skyrocketing next month. And it's not like I'm sitting here in the dark all day, I leave lights on all the time and keep my AC around 73 in the summer.

$125 is an excessive amount for an 820 square foot apartment. I know people who live in 1200 square foot homes and pay that amount. Have you noticed there seems to be more rif raft moving in to the apartments? What about the dog feces in the landscaping, the beer and water bottles left on the sidewalks and stairwells? None of this bothers you?
