property next door is bad !!!!!!!

i live currently in townhomes on the park ( 3-1-09 )
The apartment is ok, good price , next to the mall , ok area..... however , the apartments next door are horrible! in the two years i have lived there, i have seen 3 shootings. Myself have been attemed to be robbed at gun point . I see alot of drug activity around the area. Ive been born and raised in the area and it seems to be going down hill fast !
Its NOT townhomes on the park , it is the proberty next door that brings down the area..... wouldnt move-in untill something is done about next door!!!!
