This review is an update after living at Trillium Deer Valley for 6 months.
Good things: -The Complex. Despite the amount of people moving in and out, the apartment complex has remained clean and well maintained. The Greatroom, pool and fitness center are still just as nice as day one. -Service. The leasing office, Greatroom staff, and courtesy patrol are still very dedicated to providing excellent service. -Neighborhood Noise. After adjusting, I now rarely notice the surrounding neighborhood noise. I've come to enjoy the sounds of the planes taking off and landing at the Deer Valley Airport.
Bad things: -Parking. Uncovered parking has become an issue. After 6:00 p.m. it is very difficult to find a spot close to your apartment building, and by close, I mean within 3 buildings of your own. While I don't mind walking, I don't relish running into a herd of Javelina (which have gotten into the complex on at least three occasions). Laugh if you will-they're mean! -Tenant Noise. There have been some drastic changes in tenant noise now that the units are filling up. Most neighbors don't find it necessary to stop their doors from slamming when coming or going. Not a huge deal when awake, but annoying when sleeping. Another note on tenant noise: moving in, we knew Trillium was pet friendly. We were excited about that, because we wanted a small dog. Our desire for a pet changed after putting up with a yippy, neglected dog in the next apartment for 3 months. The management did take care of the situation, but we felt that they could have been more proactive in taking care of it much sooner. -Cigarette Smoke. I agree with the reviewer that said if you are a non-smoker, this place isn't for you. Be prepared to see your electricity bill go up. You can't sleep with the windows open-unless you want to smell cigarette smoke at the break of dawn.
I'd still give Trillium Deer Valley 4 out of 5 stars, but in all honestly I don't anticipate renewing our lease when the time comes.
