Insightful opinion from resident... From: Unhappyrenter602 Date posted: 10/12/2005 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2005   I have lived at Wyndham for well over a year in a studio. Cheap rent is why I was attracted; however, I regret ever moving there. My first six months a major pipe bust and my whole apartment was flooded. The management "dealt" with this by moving me upstairs with no compensation whatsoever--a big inconvienence. Not even a sorry. While upstairs in my new apartment, the refrigerator turned out to be broken and all my food spoiled. Second, the apartments are old with roaches and plug in AC units that will run your APS bill sky high. The only security is on the weekend and it consists of a college age guy riding around on a bike. Countless vehicles were broken into including mine TWICE. I actually caught two hoodlums breaking into my car and my neighbors. If you don't believe me, drive through the parking lot and you will see car vehicles with their windows bashed out and stereos missing. For the most part the place is fairly quiet, except for the past eight months where construction has been working on a HUGE corporate wheat plant one-hundred yards away on the north west side. The noise continues even until today, but has subsided albeit; not much. It's hard to sleep when jack hammers are pounding away at 2:00 a.m. When I renewed my lease, my rent went up $40.00. Thanks Wyndham :) In addition, you will find drunk homeless men/women wandering the grounds and begging for money so that they can get some more beer at the Circle K on 52nd St. Folks, I would only move here if this was my last resort. You've been warned.
