We lived here for quite a while and the biggest problem we had is for a short time our air conditioner didn't work. They let us stay in one of the models for a few days until ours was replaced.
There isn't much grass on the property and people don't always clean up after their pets but you will get that anywhere! While we were there people didn't seem to watch their kids very well, I had to yell at one kid b/c he was threatening to throw a big rock at some other (younger) kid, he even had it above his head ready to go! I don't really think there is anything the complex can really do with that, it's more poor parenting.
We didn't have any problems with bugs or anything else.
Maintenance was good. When they fixed something it was fixed!
Oh, and getting our security deposit back wasn't a problem. Some places are very very picky about things.
The walls are good. We had people living in the surrounding apts. of us and we never had any noise issues.
As far as safety goes we had our car broken into quite a few times and rummaged through, although we didn't lock our doors then either. We have since gotten our alarm fixed. Other than that it felt fairly safe.
The pool is small but always kept clean.
It's nothing fantastic but it's a good place to live at.
