Decent place

For being in the shady part of town (and it is, sorry)- Portofino was a pretty decent place to live. We didn't really have anything too eventful happen. One night we saw some guy get drug away in handcuffs and the helicopter shined the spotlight on us. That was about as ghetto as it got. For the most part the staff is friendly and helpful. But if you're looking for luxury apartments, I would stick with Scottsdale. If you aren't too worried about that, then Portofino is just fine. I unfortunately had an apartment which was right above the playground and I regretted that every day. There's only so much screeching you can take. Overall, it served it's purpose. We were there for a short time and rent was cheap. If I was living by myself I might not have been comfortable, though.
