If I could afford to live somewhere else, I would. I?ve never seen so many pitbulls. There have been four fires here since I moved in about 10 months ago, I?ve witnessed three dog fights(unintentional--due to irresponsible dog owners), I lost count of how many loud arguments/altercations I?ve heard. Security takes about a half hour to respond to incidents (too slow). Since they installed the security gate to make this a "gated community", I think the crime rate has actually risen. The gate is pretty badly designed and is more of nuisance than a protection.
As far as the management, they just recently got a new manager and the staff has almost completely changed (people were fired or quit and were replaced) since I?ve been here. So I don?t know much about the new management.
The maintenance crew used to suck also, but they?re all new, too.
I?d learned to avoid the management office at all cost(the old crew). It seemed that if you had to ask them to deal with a problem repeatedly, then they started to see you as the problem. They played favorites and treated certain people nicely and others were discriminated against simply because they expected the management to deal with management issues. But, like I said, there is an all-new staff now, so things might have improved. I?ve just learned to avoid the office in general.
Also, there's no recycling here. The city of Phoenix has curbside recycling, but apparently Porto-not-so-fino at the Lake couldn't be bothered.
