My wife and I moved into Woodland Park in September 2004 with our newborn son. We decided on the place because it's close to Metrocenter and I-17. It's about the nicest complex in the area considering others are extremly bad, crime ridden, and very unsafe. *cough*Smoketree*cough*

I work for the cable company and had been to the apartments before. They are legendary for very bad wiring and unhappy residents unable to get cable. I made sure we got an apartment where the cable worked. Keep that in mind if you go there. Find out if the last resident had cable. Call Cox.

The walls are very thin. We could actually hear the neighbor watching porn loudly next door and playing loud video games all night long. I had to pound on the walls and threaten violence many many times. Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night are party nights so don't even think about sleeping unless loud rap music lulls you to sleep. You will see drunken people stumbling through the parking lot, fights, and men hitting women. Lovely.

Our vehicle was vandalized and robbed. One night someone broke the passenger side mirrors off every car car in our row. Our Blazer was keyed and scratched, and our window was pryed down and our vehicle was robbed. They also trashed the interior while they were in there. I should mention that I had no enemies whatsoever...this just came with the territory. I also have a car alarm, but our stupid assigned parking space was about 150 feet away, a pain if you're bringing in groceries, so I couldn't hear it. There were tires stolen from cars and cars stolen from our "safe" gated community.

Our vanity sink backed up full of sewage and dumped out onto the carpet. It took them two days to get a plumber there and they made us clean the sewage from the carpeting. We had a child that crawled around on that carpet. They were quite rude about it.

The office staff are snide and overpaid. They play on their computers all day and seem to be annoyed if you ask a question or even come in to pay the rent. Do not interupt them. They also have an honor system with packages delivered to the office. Anyone can go in there and take your package provided they sign a paper.

On the plus side the rent isn't bad and there are alot of places that deliver food in the area. It's close to the mall and I-17. We didn't have any bugs and no one broke into our apartment. The grounds were kept moderately free of litter and people did bring children out to play in the grass.
