I've lived in several apartment complexes but I've never had to deal with such a disorganized management team as the one at Woodland Park. When I moved in originally in 2004,Woodland was managed by a company called United Dominion.I had no problems whatsoever with that particular company. Then in March of 2005,Greystar took over and everything changed.Greystar is undoubtedly the most disorganized company I've ever had to deal with in any capacity.Service requests went ignored, promises were never kept and some of the staff were not knowledgeable and somewhat unprofessional. With only a few exceptions, their office was like a revolving door for personnel. And in two instances, lesser Greystar personnel admitted to me in secretive tones that their office was in chaos. The apartment manager seemed to spend most of his time hunched over his computer. He seemed to be more of a caretaker than an actual manager. Also, all of their maintenance personnel quit at one point.I was told by one of the office staff that they went for two weeks without anyone to fix anything. And often simple things, like cleaning the laundry rooms or collecting garbage around the mail boxes went undone. Also, the breezeways were only cleaned twice the whole time I lived there.Needless to say, they're filthy. As for the apartments themselves,it's a mixed bag.The buildings are metal-framed.That,combined with very thin walls, means a very noisy place to live. You can hear and feel just about everything your neighbor is doing.Noise even comes through the air conditioning ducts. It is possible to find a quieter apartment here,as long as you get one that has a common wall joined at the bedroom and not at the living room.I never experienced any crimes involving my car but a lot of car windows did get bashed in while I was there.Woodland was a good value dollar-wise when I first moved in but Greystar jacked up the rent by at least $50 a month per apartment. They did remodel most of the units, paint the exterior and re-roof the place but it didn't seem like that was necesarry considering the place was in decent shape to begin with.I think they gussied up the place just so the owners could sell the complex at a profit(which they did in June of 2006.Google it).As of this writing,Woodland Park is now managed by another company(M.E.B.,I believe) and its name is changing to Villa Toscana,so it might be worth more of a look with Greystar now out of the picture. But you apartment dwellers be wary of other complexes managed by Greystar.Good luck.
